Reducing tees are used to connect three pieces of pipe at a 90-degree angle; two pieces of the same diameter in a single direction, while the third is branched away at a reduced diameter.
When joining uPVC pipes and fittings together, pipes to be joined must be of the same diameter of the fitting. PVC solvent cement should also be used along with cleaner to securely bond the pipe and fitting together.
